A mixture of formal and casual – that’s what you look for when picking pants for a beach wedding. You want to look for light colors – beige, tan, white – because they reflect heat and so are less hot to wear, and because dark colors in summer can be considered a faux-pas. Yes, beach weddings are less formal, but you still want to show that you put some effort in how you dressed.
Here’s a version that I think would be considered dressy enough for a wedding (minus the t-shirt, of course):
Of course, you may never attend a beach wedding. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t own a nice pair of white linen pants. They are suitable for any semi-formal occasion in the summer, as well as casual occasions. Near the ocean, nights can get a bit cool, and so it’s good to have a pair of long pants while vacationing seaside. One that you won’t feel overdressed in. What kind of footwear should you combine with your pants? Sandals are fine, if the occasion is casual enough.
