Shoes worn at weddings traditionally have some sort of decoration on them. It could be bows, flowers, rhinestones, glitter, etc… There are plenty of regular high-heels that have these decorations, but fewer wedge-type shoes have them. Some women feel that wedges are easier to walk in. There is another advantage to these shoes, though: they offer more of a surface on the sides, allowing designers to have a bigger canvas to work with.

Sandals used to be things that only hippies wore. But times certainly have changed, and not only does everyone wear sandals, but the models available run the gamut from cool and casual to downright dressy. Shiny silver sandals are great for adding a bit of bling to a casual outfit, but they also look great when paired with a more formal way of dress. The models that have a decoration on them, such as flowers or bows, can also be ideal as post-ceremony bridal shoes.

Sandals can provide relief from long hours of wearing high heels, but this is only true if you are comfortable in flat shoes. In fact some women are so used to heels that they feel uncomfortable in any sort of flat footwear. If you have a high arch, your feet may get tired from walking in any type of flat footwear.

One of the cool things about wedge shoes is that – because of the design of their heels – they have more of a side surface showing. This means that if they have a pattern, you get to show more of it. Shoes with a leopard print are fun and funky, and you’ll certainly want to show them off. To make sure they are very visible, you could wear them with leggings or tight jeans, rather than a long dress, which could hide them.
