We usually think of trench coats as being raincoats, made of cotton and reaching down past the knee. But sometimes the term can be used to mean almost any coat that is close-fitting. That is why you will sometimes find trench coats made of other materials, such as leather. Often, like the regular models, these will be lined so that they keep you warmer. These are ideal for fall, when you want some added protection from the cold.
