For spring and fall, a leather sport coat is ideal for providing a bit of protection from the cold air, while still looking more “dressed up” than a sweater or a wool jacket. The main reason to wear this type of coat, though, is that it looks cool. It’s really that simple. Leather somehow conveys something other fabrics just can’t match: an air of confidence and casual comfort.

Of course, whenever you are shopping for anything made of leather, you have to know exactly what you are buying. There are many different kinds of leather, and sometimes the term is used in a deceptive manner. Faux leather or PU leather are not made of animal skin. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
