When you think of a trench coat, you may think of the standard, below the knee type – the sort of thing that is meant to cover as much of your clothes as possible, in order to protect them from the rain. However, there are trench coats made in a shorter style, one that goes down mid-thigh. These might be a good choice if you will be driving while wearing the coat, since it will a bit more freedom of movement.
