Turquoise and coral are two colors that go very well together. When used in a bedroom, these colors not only remind us of the ocean, but they also provide a clean, fresh atmosphere to the surroundings. All this adds up to a room that makes you comfortable and happy no matter what the season. If you are thinking of adding these colors to your bedroom, one easy way to do it is with bedding. It’s relatively inexpensive, and simple to incorporate into your room’s decor.
Not normally the kind of pattern I would go for, but I kind of like this:

Coastal bedding has become quite popular lately, and different companies make all sorts of beach themed sheets, pillow shams, quilts, throw blankets and comforters. You can also buy coastal themed fabric by the yard. That way, if you are handy with a sewing machine, you can not only make your own coral sheets, but curtains as well. You could even re-upholster a chair or make a cover for it. Throw pillows are another great way to add touches of color.
This is more my type of style:

Echoing the color or pattern of the bedspread on another element of the room can work really well. If you can’t find bedding that combines the two colors, you could always get two sets: one turquoise and one coral, and then combine them as you wish: use the pillowcases from one set, and the sheets from the other, or the contour sheet from one, and the top sheet from the other, etc… Just remember that if the rest of your room is very colorful, you may want to tone things down bedding-wise. If, however the rest of the room is a neural or toned-down color, then you can go with much brighter bedding.
In this example I think the color combinations are overdone:

Another way to insert a coastal theme to a room is through patterned bedding, like a comforter with a shell print, for example. Whatever theme you may choose, it is bound to look great if it combines turquoise and coral. A classic color combination.
